What our customers say about us...

"This is our little hidden jewel! I have been camping for years and never found a place like this, from the beauty that surrounds you, the lovely locals and the owners- well what can I say! They go above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect...

Excellent amenities- hot showers (with a heater inside for added comfort) outside wash facilities that are clean and hot running water, very clean toilets no matter what time it is!

I might add that this is a small family run campsite and what they achieve I’ve not experienced in much bigger sites!...

"Where do I start here, the camp site was fantastic, exactly to our taste, no regimentation, so peaceful, and only a short two minute walk from the pub. We were in a v w camper, with an awning, with loads of space around us. You are within 10 minutes walk to the most beautiful dale in the Peak District, Biggin Dale, and I have walked that area for more years than I care to remember. Now to the pub and facilities, on both nights we attended we were faced with the most friendliest of staff and we felt as though we were part of the family, the selection of ales were good and the food excellent. My wife’s meal was Chicken and bacon with a Stilton sauce, which she said was great, I went for the rack of ribs, which was so huge and full of meat, I challenge anyone to finish it one go. But that didn’t matter, because we were kindly offered a container to take away that that I could not manage.overall, terrific food. It is a dog friendly pub and the chef made the dogs present feel at home with a few tit bits from the kitchen. The showers and toilets were spotless, not modern, but exactly what you would expect from a country pub. Overall, I do not see how the place could be improved, although we are assured that this is being assessed continually. Will certainly be back soon"
